Let me tell you a little bit about what I know of world commerce. There’s information, which travels at the speed of light, then there’s product, which travels at the speed of a van, then a boat, then a van, then a train, then a car. It’s slower than light. This causes a bit of annoyance in the world of electronics and multimedia. Why? Because Russia doesn’t have their iPads yet! So what did the folks at DarkDesignGroup (Russian design group) do?
They made the iMousePad.
Simple. Silly. Amazing.
And that’s all there really is to say about that. It’s a mouse pad. It’s clever. It’s excellent.
And I don’t think it’s licensed by Apple. Just a hunch.

The name:
The name ”JABULANI” originates from the indigenous language isiZulu, one of the eleven official languages of the Republic of South Africa, which is spoken by almost 25% of the population. Literally translated, “JABULANI” means “to celebrate”. Football is a passion that unites the world. The name of the new match ball appropriately pays tribute to the passionate football celebration international fans will enjoy in South Africa next summer.

Purveyors of a number of interesting designer eyewear collaborations, MYKITA follow-up on their 2009 fall/winter collaboration with avant-garde designer Bernhard Willhelm. The original collection was based off of the ‘76 Winter Olympics, as this collection ups the ante with 24 karat gold coated lenses. Two styles are each priced at $775 USD.
UK artist Paul Alexander Thornton, and his work with ball-point pens to create incredibly intricate and sometimes life-like images, have earned him a reputation as a master of his craft. His abilities have garnered notice and global attention and this stop-motion video explains why he deserves all the credit he’s received.

The guys at ilovedust have been busy over the last month working with Lambie-Nairn for TSC Foods. They’ve been redesigning the packaging of their GLORIOUS! range. ilovedust have created an A to Z of global flavors, each letter of their alphabet represents the authentic global influence and flavors of each product. For example M stands for ‘Malaysian Chicken and S for ‘Sunny Thai Chicken’.

BePositive 2010 Fall/Winter Collection Lookbook
A display is put on of Italian footwear label BePositive’s extensive range of shoes for the Fall and Winter in this lookbook. The collection makes use of some already popular silhouettes including a Chukka, Boat, High Boot and Oxford, but re-imagined with the slightest of alterations. Enough though, to make each shoe its own. The leather and suede uppers and earthy palette choices are a safe bet and while these are all styles and materials we’ve seen before, you would be hardpressed to not find any one pair that suits your tastes.
