“CLOUT and Switzerland’s street fashion brand LOW LIFE CLOTHES have teamed up to present the “City of Broken Dreams” t-shirt in both BLACK and WHITE. Printed in black, white, gray and graphite the detailed illustration depicts a layup in the backround with an elevated subway train snaking its way through a smoke filled city by way of tunnels nestled amongst contrasting facades. Passing by multi-windowed buildings, streetlamps and destroyed police cars, the subway train emerges in the forefront. Clouts’ first overseas collaboration, the “City of Broken Dreams” t-shirt is available in adult sizes S – 2X.” – CLOUT STORE

Check Your Six Spring 2010 Lookbook

hypebeast_studiohypebeast_studio_twohypebeast_studio_threehypebeast_studio_fourhypebeast_studio_fiveCheck Your Six, now in its second year, is an upcoming Midwest-based company that provides our own, unique interpretation on an industry that often falls into cliches and stagnation. Through bold graphics and mature designs, we create products with a strong focus on controversy, uniqueness, ironic humor, and everything in between.

Check Your Six is a military term derived from air combat in World War II, meaning literally ‘watch your back.’ This idea is reflected in many of our designs, sometimes as blatant as pure representations of the term, other times through abstract allusions to the idea. Combining this unique theme with diverse artistic execution has helped create a clothing line that holds true to Check Your Six’s creative vision and resonated well with consumers.

SUHREAL SP2010 Contrast of Cultures

Contrast of CultureSpring2010

(Culture-The Customs, arts, social institutions, and acheivements of a particular nation, people, or other social group.)

The past is never forgotten; Everything now is being blended, recycled, and reused with a current twist to it. We see it through time in designs, art, and graffiti; all are rooted from one to two or more unimaginable different cultures mixed together. Art(Designs, graffiti, etc…) is another form of documenting the current culture of today. Since the time of Neanderthals to now, every canvas/wall/medium an artists works on is another shape and form of a history textbook or todays newspapers. Through designs, we are reflecting on a small and very general portion of our perspectives on the current culture; Todays culture is the mixture of previous cultures combined to create another.

The threads on this line are inspired and designed with a very high contrast of cultures mixed together. From the Art of the Japanese mixed in with the music tools of the 1980s, to the hard b-boys look mixed in with a simple surreal character, you’ll see the mixtures progress and being pushed beyond the limits.

Its simple; SuhReal is built from us, society. At the same time, society can be limited or infinte. Its just a matter of which you prefer. Encourage yourself to embrace the possibilities society offers and fight against its limitations. Go beyond the idea of an ideal life.

Created to give you nothing but the happenings in an unusually dope form.

Will be Available online within a week or two, keep a lookout.

Halloway Spring 2010 Lookbook

s_cover-copys_prefaces_goldweights-copys_goldweights_descriptions_thinbluelines_thinblueline_descriptions_infinitebalances_infinitebalance_descriptions_1s_1_descriptions_closers_backcover

Infinite Balance collection symbolizes how we see the importance of recognizing that everything in life has a balance. Whether we do ?good or do evil?. Whether we go to work or decide to run-a-muck. Life has a natural balance and we decide which way the scales tip. A lot of what society sees as balance is based off of currency, particularly in present day culture. Aside from currency, there are individuals who create this balance in society. Our goal for this line is to express our style in graphics, attitude towards fashion, and views in that we feel are significant enough to be aware of.

Believe

believe_front3believe_back3I was recently approached by the promoters for “Believe” a fundraiser for the Te Mana O Te Ra  Polynesian Dance group.  I decided to donate my design services and help them out by making the flyer for them.  I think it came out pretty sick, and it was great working these guys.  Come check out the event and show your support.
